How to get into a top Executive MBA Program
As I successfully completed the rigorous admission process for one of the top business schools in the world for an Executive MBA program, I want to share my experience and tips. Of course, this is based on the admission process for the school I chose: ie Business School but I am confident there will be parallels to other top schools.
How to Achieve PMP
This guide contains a lot of practical information on how to obtain the PMP-certification, from the beginning where you apply for your PMI membership, to the end on how you maintain your PMP credentials.
I highly recommend pursuing this certification as it is the gold standard of project management certifications. Recognized and demanded by organizations worldwide, the PMP validates your Project Management competence to perform, lead and direct projects and teams.
How to Achieve PMI-ACP
In this guide, I am sharing my agile journey and provide a cookbook for how to obtain the PMI-ACP certification. PMI-ACP is designed to verify project managers’ mastery of agile principles and skill, validating their existing expertise to companies looking to adopt the agile methodology. I recommend pursuing this certification as it provides:
- Recognition of your knowledge of agile principles and skills with agile techniques
- Evidence of your real-world, hands-on experience and skill
- Evidence of your information on multiple agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, extreme programming (XP), and test-driven development (TDD))
How to Achieve PMI-RMP
A year ago I set myself an ambitious challenge: 3 PMI certifications within 12 months. Yesterday, I passed the third exam (PMI-RMP) thus completing this goal.
Along the way I obtained a ton of new knowledge and lessons learned, I even had the pleasure to lead a couple of study groups, who all passed their exams as well.
It has definitely been worth the effort as I've grown tremendously as a professional.
As with the other certifications (PMP and PMI-ACP) I want to give back and share the process and lessons learned for anyone else who wants to learn more about this certification.
Entrepreneur - Startup Funding
Are you an entrepreneur, looking for investors take your venture to the next level? Do you want to start a business and wonder where to get the funds? - The Danish serial entrepreneur: Nicolaj Højer Nielsen has published a book on the subject which offers practical solutions and guides the reader step by step to secure the right funding at the right time.
Nicolaj is a former teacher of mine from Copenhagen Business School with a specialty in Entrepreneurship, so I decided to contribute to the book by providing my experiences with startup funding. Nicolaj was so kind to mention me in his acknowledgments for my contribution to his book.
My Book Recommendations
I am passionate about personal development, I find that leaders who have both the theoretical knowledge and the practical expertise are often the most effective. In that context, I read often and whenever I run or drive alone I listen to podcasts, usually on startups. Read on if you are interested to know which books I will recommend reading.
